We never start building a garden without a design. A good garden design sets out how your garden is laid out, which materials we use and how the planting behaves through the seasons. You know in advance what you are getting, and the build can proceed without surprises.
We always start with a meeting at your home in Amsterdam, Amstelveen or the surrounding area. Together we map out your ideas, wishes and budget so the design is realistic. Next comes a sketch session: a hand-drawn sketch that gives an overall picture of the layout. If you want to see the result before we start, we develop the sketch into a 3D design you can look through.
The design matches the character of your home and the look you are after: sleek and modern like our lounge garden with steel pergola, or lush like the waterside garden in Overveen. We are also happy to design gardens for businesses.

What does a garden design include?
Sketch design
A hand-drawn sketch with the layout of terrace, lawn, borders and sightlines. The basis we build on together.
3D design
Optionally we develop the sketch into a 3D design. You see heights, materials and planting from different angles, as if you were already standing in the garden.
Choice of materials
We discuss paving, timber, steel and finishes that suit your home, so the design and the quote line up.
Planting plan
A plant list tailored to the light, the soil and how much maintenance you want to do, with attention to every season.
Offset when you proceed
A garden design starts from €375. If we go on to build the garden, this amount is deducted from the quote.
